Women's Soccer/Futsal

Danika Fortin is coming into her third year with The King’s women’s soccer team. She was born and raised here in Edmonton, Alberta and graduated high school from École Maurice-Lavallée. She is currently completing her second and final year of the Bachelor of Education degree at King’s after completing her first undergraduate degree as an English Major and Kinesiology Minor also here at King’s. While Danika has been an athlete her entire life, soccer was not her primary sport growing up, but she has come to love the game and find her role here on the team. She mainly plays up top as a striker, but she also holds the gift of bringing the team together and making everyone feel welcomed. She played a role in helping our team make the Futsal provincials last season of 2023. Danika has a drive and determination to grow and get better daily, as well as knowing the strengths of others on her team and how to work alongside with them. Danika will never leave a teammate behind and will always extend her hand out to those in need. The Eagles soccer program is happy and proud to have Danika on their team for her final year here at King’s.
