Women's Basketball Sign Yorke for 21-22 Season

Alyssa Yorke, a six-footer who plays the small forward position will be attending The Kings University in the fall and playing on the Eagles Women’s Basketball team.

This past year as a Grade 11 student, Alyssa was presented with the Ardrossan High School Female Athlete of the Year award, where she played both basketball and volleyball for the Bisons.  Alyssa was recognized as an Edmonton Metro/Journal All-Star for Basketball and was also one of the winners of the Bisons’ Cole Lawrence Award for Athletic Leadership. Alyssa accomplished all this while still maintaining a very high academic standing. Ardrossan athletic director Kelly Ferguson said “the fact that she is so good at sports and still be able to be one of the brightest kids in that age group is a real testament to her work ethic”

Eagle’s Women’s Basketball Coach Brian Anstice said “ we are so excited to have Alyssa be part of our team, she’s an awesome addition to our program and school”
