“Ralph is our running coach. He founded our team and continues to watch it grow and prosper. In his day job, Ralph is King’s VP of Finance & Operations. He has been with the university since the summer of 2018.
Ralph was a sprinter/hurdler in his day and in his 30s and 40s, he was a marathon runner and an Ironman triathlete. He has coached since 1982! He started as a middle-distance coach for the Kitchener-Waterloo Track & Field Club. Over the years he has coached with 7 different clubs, 3 high schools and 2 post-secondary institutions. He currently coaches on the club scene with the St Albert Mustangs. Ralph is often identified at club meets as “that trivia guy” when he announces at meets. Ralph has also been on 5 zone teams through the Alberta Summer Games, 2 Tri-province teams and 1 Legion National team with Athletics Alberta. He has also facilitated coaching seminars with Athletics Alberta.
Ralph is trying to develop his young team into a competitive force in the ACAC. His wish is that each athlete will become the best that he/she can be given the talent present.”
