Coach Sanchez, Founder of GoalKing Goalkeeper Academy, joins the Eagles, eagre to work with the talent. Armando Sanchez has trained more than 700 goalkeepers in Alberta since 2007 in the Edmonton region. Armando is a former professional soccer player from Mexico. Currently, Armando is the Regional Women’s Excel (REX), in partnership with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, and Goalkeeper Coach for MacEwan University Griffins. Armando holds an Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma (Coach and Trainer) from the United Soccer Coaches organization (formally known as NSCAA), specialized in goalkeeper training, and a National B-License from the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA).

In addition, Armando has international experience coaching for the SoccerPlus Residential Camps in the USA, to which he brings each summer a group of advanced players from Alberta. Many of the GOALKING goalkeepers and field players who participated from Alberta in the SoccerPlus camps are participating today in elite programs in Canada, such as the FC Edmonton REX program, the FC Edmonton Academy, the University of Alberta Women’s Pandas and Jr Pandas soccer programs, ASA Winter training program, and ASA Alberta teams. This January 2019, 4 of the GOALKING Academy members have been officially invited to showcase their skills at the MLS Montreal Impact Academy tryouts, a unique opportunity for these players who have been working so hard in the GOALKING Academy.
